Reducer is an independent closed transmission device between the original motor and the working machine, which is used to reduce the speed and increase the torque correspondingly. In addition, in some cases, it can also be used as a speed increasing device, and is called a speed increaser. There are many kinds of reducers. Here we only discuss gear drive, reducer, worm drive and the reducer composed of them.
According to the transmission and structural characteristics, there are five kinds of reducers
1. Gear reducer mainly includes cylindrical gear reducer, bevel gear reducer and cone cylindrical gear reducer.
2. Worm reducer mainly includes cylindrical worm reducer, hourglass worm reducer and worm gear reducer.
3. Planetary gear reducer.
4. Cycloid gear reducer.

Harmonic gear reducer the above five kinds of reducers have standard series products, only need to combine the required transmission speed, speed, transmission ratio, working conditions and the general layout of the machine. Specific requirements can be selected from the product catalog or relevant manuals. Only when we can't choose the right product, we can design and manufacture by ourselves. In addition, roller cam reducer, toroidal worm reducer and other new reducers are being manufactured and promoted in China.
